The first eight definitions are already defined in RFC 5234. Is it likely that removing these definitions from this specification, simply referring to RFC 5234, would cause confusion? Ponder.

Post-ponder I think keeping the definition complete is more important than minimal duplication. The definitions will stay. - dave
